Scoring Criteria
Our editorial score is based on six weighted criteria. Each criterion is assessed on a scale of 1-10, and the final score is a weighted average. Our scores are editorial assessments, not user ratings.

25%Assessment of ingredient quality, formulation approach, and product design based on publicly available information.
Ingredient Standards
15%Evaluation of clean ingredient commitments (paraben-free, sulfate-free, cruelty-free) and transparency.
Price & Value
20%Comparison of product pricing relative to the market and assessment of value for money.
Product Range
10%Assessment of the breadth and depth of the product line and how well products work together.
Customer Experience
15%Evaluation of verified customer reviews, customer service, and overall buying experience.
Transparency & Information
15%Assessment of how transparently the brand communicates ingredients, policies, and product information.
Data Sources
Our editorial assessments are based on publicly available information from the following sources:
- • The brand's official website, product pages, and blog
- • Verified customer reviews on the brand's website
- • Publicly available third-party reviews and commentary
- • Industry publications and skincare resources
- • Publicly available pricing and promotion information
We do not have access to internal brand data, proprietary formulations, or unpublished clinical studies. We do not independently test products.

Power Beauty is an independent editorial website. We are not owned by, operated by, or affiliated with any brand we review. Our editorial assessments are produced independently and are not reviewed or approved by any brand before publication.

Update Process
We review and update our content on a regular basis. Each article and review displays a "last updated" date. When we become aware of significant changes (product reformulations, pricing changes, new product launches), we prioritize updating the relevant content.
Despite our efforts, information may become outdated between updates. We recommend verifying all details on the official brand website.
Brand Feedback
We welcome feedback from brands regarding the accuracy of information on our website. If a brand representative identifies factual errors, we will review and correct them promptly. However, we do not accept requests to change editorial scores or opinions in exchange for compensation or other incentives.
